A Test of Friendship

It comes to a point when walls we built around our selves have to be broken down to give way to a budding friendship. Although I never planned to be, I ended up being friends with people who I personally don't know. But I guess it is a part of life of being someone who have had a direct relationship to this site to risk one's self to be a part of someone's life and that someone be a part of one's self.

HUB or Hottest Urban Boys came out first as HBIT or Hottest Boys in Town. This site has a funny history. They came out around August or September on the same year when BT4H came out. But allegedly, based to their own historians beliefs, they said they came out before BT4H did.

At first, it was only a collection of guys for hire from different yahoo groups or social networking sites around the world wide web. These guys were either masseurs, call boys or escorts. Later through the months and years this site has evolved into a strategic group rather than a mere collection.

When God Seems Absent

Many thousands of years ago, before our Lord went back to the Father, he promised us that he would never leave us. He promised that he would be with us until the end of the age. And so, we believed that the Lord is with us in Spirit here, now and for always. However, haven't there been times in our lives when we actually felt his absence more intensely than we believed in his abiding presence? Haven't there been seasons an end when we actually sensed we were going all these, alone? And don’t we sometimes feel that our Lord of wisdom and counsel seems to have locked himself away behind divine silence?

During this day, I've been sooo busy. I will try to document this day as I remember:

At around  9am, I've already received several sms from M, a friend. He is bugging me what am I going to do the whole day of Saturday with all his sms. Several more exchanges, we agreed that I let him sleep 3 more hours while I do my chores for that day before we meet. Talk about fairness, huh.

And here lies...

I am a part of what they call "third sex" where being a part of "it" used be a taboo in this very conservative country. But gone are those days where self confessed gays are being insulted and always cast out as if gay persons have a very infectious disease.

Today, being gay means being proud. But I don't think I could be that proud. I have been out to a few friends. Met people of different shapes, sizes, colors and wealth. But I could never be a proud gay in front of my family. Respect. Love. Devotion. These are the things that I choose to give to my family without expectations.

Through time, people as humans evolve in one way or another. I can't specify that different evolutions that I have gone through, but I hope to share them to others for them to learn from me.

And also with time, we age. We can not escape that. It is the natural flow of things. But before age could take its toll to my memory, I'd like to have a place where I could get back to and remember the life that I'm living, behind my families back.

Hence, the creation of this blog.
